Every startup reaches a point where the brand they launched with no longer represents the company they've become. The logo that worked on a pitch deck feels amateurish on an enterprise sales page. The color palette that looked fine in Figma clashes with every stock photo in the content library. The typography screams 'we built this on Canva in 2021.'
This is the exact situation a B2B SaaS client came to us with. They had just closed a Series A round, were scaling from 12 to 40 employees, and their existing brand identity was actively hurting their sales process. Enterprise prospects were hesitant to sign contracts with a company that looked like it was still in beta.
They needed a complete brand identity overhaul. And they needed it in 30 days — before their annual user conference.
The Challenge: Full Rebrand, Tight Timeline
The scope was comprehensive:
- New logo system (primary mark, wordmark, icon, and lockups for different contexts)
- Complete color palette with primary, secondary, accent, and semantic colors
- Typography system for web, print, and presentation materials
- Brand guidelines document covering usage rules, spacing, and misuse examples
- Website header, footer, and hero section redesign
- Sales deck template (30+ slides)
- Email signature, business cards, and social media profile assets
- Conference booth backdrop and badge design
Most agencies quote 8–12 weeks for this scope. We committed to 30 days because our process is designed for exactly this kind of compressed timeline.
Week 1: Discovery & Strategy (Days 1–7)
Every brand project at MrKirof starts with a structured discovery phase. We ran a 90-minute workshop with the founder, VP of Marketing, and Head of Sales to align on:
- Who their ideal customer profile actually is (not who they think it is)
- What emotional response the brand should trigger in the first 3 seconds
- Which 3 competitor brands they admire — and specifically why
- What the brand needs to communicate that the product alone cannot
From this workshop, we extracted a Brand Strategy Brief: a single-page document that every design decision would reference. This step is non-negotiable. Without strategic alignment, you get a pretty logo that doesn't convert.
Week 2: Design Exploration (Days 8–14)
We presented three distinct creative directions — not three slight variations of the same idea. Each direction had a fully rendered logo, color palette, and typography system applied to a mock homepage and sales slide. This lets stakeholders react to real context, not abstract concepts.
This approach eliminates the most common bottleneck in branding projects: endless logo revisions driven by personal preference. When stakeholders see the brand applied to real business scenarios, the conversation shifts from 'I like this' to 'this will work for our audience.'
The client chose Direction B (a geometric wordmark with a dynamic accent color system) with minor refinements from Direction A (a specific serif typeface for headlines). We combined the two and locked the direction by Day 12. Locking early is critical — every day of indecision in Week 2 costs a day of production in Week 4.
Week 3: System Build (Days 15–21)
This is where most agencies lose time. They have a logo and a color palette, but they haven't built the system that makes a brand actually work in production.
We built:
- A component library in Figma with every UI element (buttons, cards, inputs, badges) styled to the new brand
- A 48-page brand guidelines PDF covering logo clear space, minimum sizes, color accessibility ratios, typography scale, and photography direction
- Responsive web header/footer/hero sections with light and dark mode variants
- The complete sales deck template with master slides, chart styles, and image treatments
By Day 21, the client had everything they needed to start implementing. We included a 'Brand in a Box' folder, which organized all assets by format (Print, Web, Social, Internal), drastically reducing the friction for their non-design team members to use the new assets correctly.
Week 4: Production & Launch Prep (Days 22–30)
The final week was pure production: conference materials, email signatures, social assets, and QA. We delivered every asset in organized folders with clear naming conventions and usage notes. Every file was labeled by use case — 'web-hero-dark.png', 'print-logo-cmyk.pdf' — so the client's team could find and use assets without asking us.
We also ran a 45-minute onboarding session with their marketing team, walking through the guidelines document and answering implementation questions. This step is often skipped by agencies, and it is the single biggest predictor of whether a new brand system gets adopted or ignored.
The rebrand launched at their user conference on Day 30. The client reported that three enterprise prospects specifically mentioned the 'polished, professional brand' as a factor in their decision to move forward with contracts.
Results
- 30-day delivery timeline — met with 2 days to spare
- Complete brand identity system: logo, colors, typography, guidelines, templates
- 3 enterprise contracts directly influenced by the rebrand perception
- Internal team adoption was immediate because the guidelines were clear and comprehensive
The rebrand didn't just look better — it changed how prospects talked about us in sales calls. That's worth more than any paid campaign.
What This Means for Your Rebrand
If you are considering a rebrand, here are the three things that make the difference between a smooth 30-day process and a painful 6-month drag:
- Start with strategy, not aesthetics. A brand without strategic alignment is just decoration.
- Present full-context concepts, not logos in isolation. Stakeholders need to see how the brand works in real scenarios.
- Build the system, not just the logo. A brand that can't scale to every touchpoint will create inconsistency the moment your team starts using it.
Ready to Rebrand?
If there is one thing this project taught us, it is that a rebrand does not have to be a slow, agonizing process. With a focused team, a structured timeline, and clear decision-making authority, you can transform how your company looks, feels, and communicates in a matter of weeks. The key is having a partner who has done it before and knows how to keep things moving without cutting corners.
We specialise in brand identity systems that scale. Whether you need a full rebrand or a strategic brand refresh, our four-phase process delivers production-ready results on a timeline that works for your business.
